Piwee’s New Wheels

Piwee is a cheeky kiddy supermarket shopping trolley with a little flag on him. Piwee decides to arrange a race with the other kiddy shopping trolleys around The Supermarket carpark one night after all the humans had gone home, to prove he is as fast as the others young trolleys who think Piwee’s wheels are old and worn. The older supermarket shopping trolleys don’t think the race is a good idea but agree for the race to go ahead, however not without incident. So Piwee asks Oaty, an older inventive and eccentric shopping trolley if he can use the fast wheels he had invented to help him win a race, Oaty agrees after much persuasion. In the meantime, Piwee goes into the warehouse and takes his old wheels off, placing them next to a bin, then tries on the new fast wheels. The race begins, but Piwee soon gets pushed out off the race track by a competitive young trolley, leaving the other kiddy trolleys unaware of what was happening as they speed away onto the distance. In the meantime, a dump truck arrives to collect rubbish and mistakenly takes Piwee’s old wheels which were left near the bins. Oaty realises this and tries to retrieve Piwee’s old wheels, but gets tangled in some rope attached to the dump truck as it speeds off, with Oaty still attached. Piwee sees this and races to save his old friend Oaty using his speedy wheels to get ahead of the truck while using some heroic ingenuity. Piwee and Oaty get into some unusual scrapes during this rescue, which will delight the readers and leave you wanting to read the story again. There are some fabulous illustrations in this book also, and hope you enjoy it.
